Women, Trauma and Emotion Regulation
A Session by Mary Elizabeth Campbell MEd, MA, MPh, CPS (HIdalgo Health Associates, HIdalgo Health Associates)
About this Session
Statistics show that 90% of women who are identified with SUD and/or with a mental health diagnosis also have a history of trauma that has had an impact on the way they regulate and manage emotions and boundaries, how they experience relationships, and how they define what self-care looks like. This presentation will allow you to see and understand how to process emotions from a top-down approach rather than a bottom-up approach and enter into a new way of thinking about self-care.
